"Metamodernism" as a name is not perfect, but there also may not be better alternative. One thing to point out though is that what Tim Vermeulen and Robin van den Akker had in mind when they chose to use the prefix "meta" was not "meta" as in over/above/about but "meta" as in "metaxy" which means "between-ness."
